Our Safety Program

Safety Image

Safety is an important issue at Thunderpup Construction. We value the hard work and dedication of our employees, subcontractors and suppliers. Therefore, it is our desire to provide a safe work place, safe equipment, and proper materials for all our team members, and to establish and insist upon safe methods and practices at all times.

Our commitment to provide and maintain safe and healthful working conditions results in nothing less than efficient operations, which in turn benefits our clients. By following safe construction practices and rules, Thunderpup employees, subcontractors and suppliers are equipped with the resources to build better buildings.

An official Safety Program Manual outlines the safety policies, rules and responsibilities for all Thunderpup employees, as well as subcontractors. Any safety concerns, regulations and company rules can at any time be discussed with our Safety Coordinator, Gary Hale, who administers our Safety Program.

CPR and First Aid

In addition to providing our team members with all applicable information, instruction and safety equipment as needed, Thunderpup Construction is in the process of training our team members to become CPR and 1st aid certified. Many of our field employees and superintendents are already CPR and 1st Aid trained and certified, but it is our goal to train and certify all of our team members. Our safety coordinator, Gary Hale, is currently in charge of training all office employees so that they too can earn their CPR and 1st Aid certification.

  3. Encourage participation by trade associates, such as suppliers and subcontractors, in our safety procedures
  4. Provide all required and necessary safety signage at each jobsite
  5. Conduct jobsite safety inspections and complete appropriate documentation
  6. Provide Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in accordance with the Hazard Communication Program
