Our Design Philosophy

A unique approach to projects is part of what makes Thunderpup Construction successful. Added in as a creative solution to better serve our clients, our in-house design department gives us many advantages over other construction companies in the area. With two designers and a licensed architect on our team, drafting services and innovative design solutions are always at our fingertips. Design and drafting services help shorten the time frame within which we provide our full range of construction services. Creative and functional solutions for the client are just a perk.

In addition to creative and functional solutions for the client, our in-house design department provides for greater consistency during the entire construction process. There is a specific method to all construction projects; our ability to either forego the need of an outside architect or consultant, or work closely with that consultant, from the beginning speeds up that process and produces a more consistent product. When the construction process begins, other general contractors start immediately from the bidding stage. We have the potential to start from the drawing board, literally, which provides for a better understanding of a project as a whole.

Finally, our in-house design department makes it easier to react quickly to changes. When plans need adjustments – whether due to change orders by the client, or comments from the building department – our in-house design department has the capability to make those adjustments on the spot; no time is spent waiting on outside resources. The benefits of quick reactions are three-fold: client-contractor relationships become stronger, opportunities for collaboration and structure are greater, and probability of consistency is increased.
